Why work with me?

Hi there! I’m Dr. Amber Benton (pronouns: she/her). Some call me Dr. Benton, Dr. B, or simply, Amber. Either is fine but I kindly ask you to not call me “Ms. Benton.”

I am an educator, diversity/inclusion/equity (DEI) expert, and intergroup dialogue facilitator. I’m also an advocate for healthy workplace cultures with over a decade of professional and leadership experience.

I’ve served as a Chief Diversity Officer for the past several years where I’ve led teams, supervised staff, led strategic plans, and built training and workshops from the ground up.

This has given me a great perspective on what works and what does not and how to level up if we want change to happen.

If credentials matter to you…

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Pacific University, becoming the first person in my family to graduate from college. In addition, I hold a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education (HALE) from Michigan State University. At the end of the day, this is just a fancy way to say that I’ve worked hard to educate myself so I can help myself and those around me in hopes of making our society better.

Ultimately, I hope this can be a safe space where you can learn and engage in topics you may know a little or a lot about. Your hard work will help you become better and hopefully, help others to become better in the process.

Don’t take my word for it.
