Friend, is the temperature heating up where you are?

Spring is finally here even if the weather does not want to act like it. I keep telling myself that it will get warmer one day.

Not only are the seasons changing, I am approaching one of the busiest seasons professionally (and personally). For the next few months, I will be at different conferences sharing all my basic but necessary insights with folks.

The accessibility conference I look forward to most is coming soon, Knowbility's AccessU 2023! You can join me live online or in person in Austin, TX, May 9th - May 12th. My session is (Dis)ability Deconstructed: A Practical Guide to Ability Inclusion. I hope to see you there! For more info, visit knowbility.org/AccessU.

We are one day from the weekend. Let’s get into it…

WEEKLY UPDATE

CLIFF NOTES: IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…

BENTON’S BASICS: KNOW YOURSELF, KNOW YOUR WORTH

Long story short…

Zendaya will reportedly earn $1 million per episode for Euphoria Season 3. Zendaya is the youngest two-time Emmy award winner and a part of two major Hollywood franchises (Marvel’s Spider-Man and Dune). Zendaya knows her worth. Zendaya (reportedly) raised her price. We should all be like Zendaya.

Here are some basic ways to identify your worth:

  1. Figure out what you do well. Identify and acknowledge your unique strengths and skills. If you don’t know, take this free survey to find out.

  2. Identify your values. Understand your values and what is important to you.

  3. Celebrate yourself. Recognize and celebrate your accomplishments and achievements.

  4. Stay in your lane. Don't compare yourself to others, focus on your own progress.

  5. Your network is your net worth. Surround yourself with people who value and appreciate you.

  6. Trust yourself. Trust your instincts and make decisions that align with your beliefs.

  7. Take care of yourself. Prioritize your well-being and self-care.
